Right now, the northern Spanish city of Huesca is hosting the eighth Digital Journalism Congress.

This two-day meeting, which started yesterday, began with an award to Arsenio Escolar, director of 20minutos.es, a free newspaper with a wide circulation in Spain. It also has an active site, with 3.3 million unique visitors in January. Also, Escolar blogs frequently.

Escolar received his award for good adaptation of a traditional newspaper to new technologies. He had said that in his newspaper there are just journalists, without differences between print and online.

The Congress will analyze current topics as news in Second Life, the situation of journalism in China, and content offerings for small screens (PDAs and cellphones).
