Mashable
Mashable notes seven cool — and free — Android apps that have something special. The most interesting of them in my book are the two that use the device’s GPS and orientation sensors. Google SkyMap alone, which provides real-time information on the stars above as you move your handset around, is enough to give me Android envy. Google Goggles uses the phone’s camera to do visual searches of the Web. It takes augmented reality to a level that makes me think that journalism orgs need to get cracking on location-based tagging.
