Bernie Miklasz says he’s sorry for reporting that Purdue’s Matt Painter would be Missouri’s next basketball coach. (Painter signed a contract extension with Purdue on Wednesday.) “Well, wrong. So I have to wear it,” writes Miklasz. “Any criticism of me is justified. If I have lost credibility in your eyes, I deserve that. … I trusted the information and proceeded with it. And I embarrassed myself and this news organization in the process.” (He’s getting support from his Twitter followers.)
