Interactive Learning Producer
Vanya Iliev is an interactive learning producer at Poynter’s News University. She brings her journalistic, video production, design and development skills to NewsU.
Previously, Vanya was a freelance digital media developer and marketing coordinator at Poynter. She is also a local freelance broadcast production assistant for national sporting events.
Vanya earned her bachelor’s in mass communications with a focus on broadcast program and production from USF Tampa. She holds a master’s degree in digital journalism and design from USF-St. Petersburg, where she was a graduate research assistant. Her master’s applied research project, The Spa Beach Controversy, is a documentary about the integration of St. Petersburg’s Spa Beach in the late 1950s.
