Angie Drobnic Holan

Angie Drobnic Holan is the director of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN), which supports and promotes fact-checking worldwide through a network of more than 170 organizations across 60 countries. Her work focuses on global fact-checking standards, platform accountability, AI and information integrity, and the funding and sustainability of fact-checking as a field. Before assuming that role in June 2023, Holan served as editor-in-chief of PolitiFact, the U.S. political fact-checking site, for 10 years, where she built deep expertise in verification methodologies and accountability journalism. She was part of the PolitiFact team that won the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for national reporting. She is a native of Louisiana and a 2023 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University.
