Cristina Tardáguila is the founder and director of Agência Lupa, the first fact-checking newswire in Brazil. In 2014, she was responsible for developing the first fact-checking plataform in her country: the blog Preto no Branco. Cristina has been a reporter and an editor at the two major daily newspapers in her country - O Globo and Folha de S.Paulo. She has also worked at revista piauí, a monthly and national magazine. In 2016, Cristina published a non-fiction book about the biggest (and still unresolved) art heist in Brazil: "A Arte do Descaso" (Intrínseca).
